A "story inside a story," in which the initial segment takes after a lady named Susan who gets a book original copy from her ex, a man whom she cleared out 20 years before, requesting her conclusion. The second component takes after the real composition, called "Nighttime Animals," which rotates around a man whose family excursion turns rough and destructive. It additionally keeps on taking after the narrative of Susan, who ends up reviewing her first marriage and defying some dim truths about herself.
