An old variant of humorist Douglas Kenney recounts the narrative of how he and Henry Beard negotiated their accomplishment in their grounds magazine, Harvard Lampoon, into the business magazine, National Lampoon. Drawing upon their checkered lives and a forcefully puckish comical inclination, the combine made a distribution that would reclassify American parody with ridiculous buffoonery that got the zeitgeist of the decade that extended crosswise over different media.
