Aisha is a widow with five children, the oldest of which, named Sanaa, got married to Orabi the carpenter, and are living in the family's poor house. Eventually, Orabi harasses Lamiaa, Sanaa's sister, and upon discovering, Sanaa decides to commit suicide.
